Bill: What's that!? *Prepares to punch him.*
Red: Bill! *Stops him.* It's okay… Never mind. *Begins walking away.*
Bill: Red….
*Red suddenly feels a strange feeling in his chest and stops.*

Note to self: Do not try to lineart and color a sketchy scene ever again.

Oh, but I just had to do this!! I realize it was tricky, but every artist must do something challenging at least once in their life, right?

I had an idea that I just had to illustrate. It's been a long time since I colored a manga lineart I made myself.

This is one of the most dramatic points in the entirety of the Fire Red / Leaf Green saga; the very first time Red gets that strange feeling. I realize he feels it again later on, but it's not as dramatic as the first time. At the time, he didn't know what it was or why he felt it, leading him to experience a very powerful emotion: fear. That, along with the devastation, guilt, loss of confidence and sorrow is one of the reasons I grew to like Red, a reason he became one of my favorite characters. He was shown to have a moment of weakness that only made him stronger later on, something you'll never see with the oh-so-popular and bada$$ Game Red.

Red's hair in this manga is a pain; I have no idea how the artist is able to draw it panel after panel, page after page. I colored it normally after creating the lineart, then inverted the colors in order to emphasize the drama of the moment. I also replaced "TINGLE" with "BA-DUMP!!" in cracked letters for the same reason; "TINGLE" just doesn't seem as dramatic.
